TAKE A WALK

Olá meus caros leitores, hoje decidi levantar-me cedo e mexer um bocado estas pernas que estão bem a precisar, e acabei por sentir uma vontade imensa de repetir. É incrível a energia com que ficamos depois de uma manhã como estas! Com isto, pus o meu enorme talento em acção e tirei algumas fotografias dos sítios por onde andei. Realmente vivo um pouco longe do centro da cidade mas é um prazer enorme poder sair de casa e em menos 5 minutos poder apreciar estes sítios que podem ver em cima. Hello my dear readers, today I decided to get up early and move a bit these legs that are in desperate need, and I ended up feeling a strong urge to repeat. It's amazing the energy we get after a morning like this! With this, I have put my enormous talent in action and took some photographs. I live a bit far from the center of the city but it is a great pleasure to be able to leave the house and in less than five minutes appreciate these sites that you can see above. HUUUMMMM... CHOCOLATE

Não há nada mais espanhol do que churros con chocolate por isso, visto que já estou a viver em Madrid há 2 meses e meio, decidi ir experimentar. Fui à Chocolatería de San Ginés (que está aberta 24 horas e é óptima para depois da fiesta) e devo dizer que adorei! O espaço é giríssimo e tem fotos de todas as pessoas famosas sentadas nos mesmo sítio onde eu estava! Tinha fotos de jogadores de futebol, dos reis de Espanha, da Naomi Campbell, enfim, a lista continua... Senti-me uma celebridade! Não sou grande fã de churros mas devo dizer que só pelo espaço vale a pena (apesar da enorme fila de turistas que estava à porta) e o chocolate é maravilhoso!

There is nothing more Spanish than churros con chocolate (hot chocolate with churros) and because of that, since I'm already living in Madrid for two months and a half, I decided to go and try it. I went to Chocolatería San Ginés (which is open 24 hours and is great for after the fiesta) and I must say I loved it! The space is beautiful and has pictures of all the famous people sitting in the same place where I was! Had pictures of football players, the kings of Spain, Naomi Campbell, well, the list goes on... I felt like a celebrity! I'm not a big fan of churros but I must say that the space was totally worthy (despite the huge line of tourists that was at the door) and the hot chocolate is wonderful!

 Hoje fui ao Real Sitio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial. É um complexo gigante que pertence ao Património Nacional de Espanha e que inclui Palácio, Mosteiro, Museu e Biblioteca. Também tem os jardins reais e uma pequena aldeia à volta com restaurantes e cafés muito bonitos e acolhedores.

Today I went to the Real Sitio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial. It's a giant complex that belongs to the National Heritage of Spain and which includes Palace, Monastery, Museum and Library. Also has the royal gardens and around a small village with restaurants and caffee places so beautiful and welcoming.
